My beloved childhood friend, Liang Ze, is leaving for the states in a few weeks time. I'll miss him dearly, especially since he'll be gone for many years, enjoying free flow of buffalo wings and beer every night! Uncle Shee Keong decided to organize a boys night out, at a restaurant called Brussel Sprouts. We had beer for starters, which as usual I didnt quite enjoy(much to the disgust of Uncle SK). The pussyfoot jibes kept coming, and even our waiter refused to get me one! He insisted it was beer night so I had to force sour beer down my throat(most people would never complain about this). We had amazing mussels(4 different kinds), amazing Belgian sausages, Pork Belly, and many many other dishes that would force you to throw your diet plans out of the window. And then there were the free flow of Belgian fries, the cause for my extremely sore throat, but I cant complain. It was great fellowship, & great food :D

![]() ![]() ![]() I finally got to meet my beloved primary school friends! Was terrified at first cause I heard that I was the only guy going. & then jason called! Met sam and Jason at Orchard station before proceeding to Borders to spring a surprise on Mr Woo. Surprisingly, Sam and Jason couldnt even remember who Mr Woo was! ANNNDDDD after 11 years, I finally saw him! We then decided to head up to Cedele first since we were all early. So there the three of us sat, going down memory lane and helping Sam and Jason rekindle their memory. Waited about an hour before the next person came! Daphanie strolled in, followed by Ying Xuan(Still pretty after all these years), Alexander(always punished with me by Mr Woo), Shu Ting, Debra and Siying, Elisa, Regina, Gina and finally Michelle! My ridiculously priced meal came 20 minutes late, and I felt terrible cause the rest all waited till my food came. Anyway, headed to the big O for supper after that! And finally, to top the whole evening, Mr woo drove us homeee! The bishan people(5 of us) squeezed into Mr Woo's poor car. I really enjoyed myself and I can't wait for the next gathering! :D

I know, I cant believe it either. I'm actually updating my blog. Well, although school assignments have been pilling up sky high, I have not been able to resist the urge to catch the olympics everyday. And so far, I've not been disappointed. Yesterday, I had the honor of watching Usain Bolt smash Michael Johnson's 200m record. I expected him to jog to victory, or to showboat, but he did none of them. It was true determination that won him the race, & congrats to him for smashing two world records in a single olympic games. This man is the real deal. Modest, friendly, and laid-back,he is simply phenomenal. ![]() ![]() Although Phelps created huge headlines with this Amazing haul of 7 Gold medals, one of the highlights of the games, for me, was when Yelena Isinbayeva broke the pole vault world record. It was a third & final attempt to break the world record, and the entire Beijing National Stadium was silent as the crowd waited in anticipation. & she absolutely nailed it! ![]() And now...To another topic. I just found out these past two weeks how I should force myself not to develop feelings for any girl. Its exhausting work, and you pretty much end up getting disappointed most of the time. It's hard to impress too, to match up to their incredibly high standards. They must be intelligent, good looking, charming, have a well-toned body. Sometimes its as if whatever you do isn't appreciated. okay this isn't the best way to end a post. CHELSEA ARE PLAYING BEAUTIFUL FOOTBALL! :D I never thought this day would come but Scolari's doing a fantastic job so far. and and I cant wait for my items from threadless and fredflare to arrive! Well, at least there's something to look forward to.

Time waits for no man. That saying became clearer after we spent time with the Bungums. They may be back visiting in Singapore but they'll be going back to the states pretty soon, and all the tears will commence once more. Mai Fen invited a few families to the Aloha chalet(never like that place) in Changi to spend time with her family. Played the beautiful game with Haaken and brothers, using two huge tree barks as goal posts. Adorable Baby Athea

Just found out that December will be packed with traveling! While my other family members drive up to Thailand(Love the land of smiles), my brother and I will head to Taiwan to spend quality time with Uncle Jing Rong & Auntie Irene. After that, it'll be to the States to celebrate Christmas. It's freezing & snowing in Minnesota come December so you can probably guess how exited I am! Hopefully, there'll be no change in plans. |
