Just found out that December will be packed with traveling! While my other family members drive up to Thailand(Love the land of smiles), my brother and I will head to Taiwan to spend quality time with Uncle Jing Rong & Auntie Irene. After that, it'll be to the States to celebrate Christmas. It's freezing & snowing in Minnesota come December so you can probably guess how exited I am! Hopefully, there'll be no change in plans.

Tribute to Aunt Irene & Uncle Jing Rong <3 Aunt Irene & Uncle Jing Rong departed Singapore at approximately 1.30 pm on the 22nd of June, 2008. They then landed safely at Taipei 4 hours later. Both of these people mean the world to me, & I was extremely sad when they left. Most of my Uncles & Aunts on my mum's side either don't give a hoot about us, or are hardly there for us, aside from Uncle Peter & Grandma. Aunt Irene and Uncle Jing Rong on the other hand, are always there for me, & they mean the most to me. To me, they are the only extended family members I hold dear to my heart. People say I can always visit them again but time is not on our side. Aunt Irene & Uncle Jing Rong are getting older and every moment I get to spend with them is precious. Therefore, I've set a target to visit them once every year. It's strange, the family members you hold close to your heart are always far away, while those who do not care about you are less than two train stops away. Sigh, the irony of life. Anyway, thanks Aunt Irene & Uncle Jing Rong for spending so much time with our family, we treasured every moment we have with the both of you. Love, Zane Boy.

June the 19th, 2008. An ordinary day to most people was possibly one of the most special days in my Aunt Irene's life. After years of hesitation, backsliding and fear, my Aunt finally decided to get baptized. My Aunt had always wanted to be a Christian, although Grandma gave her the beating of her life upon hearing the news of her new found faith when she was a teenager. After years of backsliding in Taipei, she finally decided that it was time. The initial plan was to get baptized in Singapore, her homeland. Daddy approached Pastor Jimmy to request if Aunt Irene could be baptized in Bethel Presbyterian Church and as expected, Aunt Irene had to go through the membership classes but that would have been impossible, her stay here couldn't allow that. Thankfully, Bartley Christian Church agreed to baptize Aunt Irene at our home. It was a beautiful ceremony that only close friends attended and I praise God for finally granting my Aunty's life long dream.

![]() ![]() ![]() Champions League Final 2008, Moscow. I can't put reiterate how much I was looking forward to that magical sporting event. Weeks & weeks of eager anticipation, Hoping that abramovich would finally win the trophy he craved for most in his homeland of russia. There were many doubts in my head. Firstly, would Avram Grant, the Weary One, actually make the right team selections? Or would he make the same tactical blunders during the Carling Cup Final. Would Didier be in Match winning form? & the biggest fear of all, would Florent Malouda start? I was praying hard he wouldn't. Finally, the big day arrived. After hours & hourse of waiting, I finally saw the team sheet. Damn, Malouda was starting, Drogba alone up front. That wasn't a good start. I was hoping due to some miraculous turn of events, that christiano ronaldo had a pimple on match day and decided not to play. Everything went well till Didier lost him head. Stupid man u fans around the estate weren't helping either, kept cheering when united scored. Then came the shootout. Daddy sat beside me, cheering chelsea on. And for the first time ever,he actually said he wanted to see United lose. And then JT, our captain Marvel stepped up. And then he slipped & missed. Sigh, the feeling I felt next when United converted the penalty can be compared to my worst breakup. But with great disappointment comes maturity and I'm sure Chelsea will be back next season, stronger than ever (: LONG LIVE CHELSKI!. |
